• Zakat for special cases such as thefts, accidents, health issues, Disability (OKU) and/or other cases deemed necessary (RM50 – RM200 or subject to the consideration of Pusat Islam UTM).

• This fund was initiated by HRH Tuanku Chancellor in 2016 to provide deserving UTM students with a financial aid to cover daily meal.
• BWCCF is in the food vouchers worth minimum RM200.00 per student/semester or will be credited into student’s account bank.
• Students can use the food vouchers to redeem meals at participating cafeterias on Johor Bahru and Kuala Lumpur campuses within the specified period stated on the voucher.
• Students can apply through google form UTMCare.

Any interested student takes only preferred food at any food cabinet at the designated places.

Free snacks and drinks for students.

An initiative by Yayasan Perkasa Siswa to ease the burden of students from low income family, especially those under the B40 category in the form of dry food. Each and every college will be equipped with special rack for dry food, and student can take the food for their daily needs.

An initiative to provide free food for all students. It is located at Islamic Centre, UTM Johor Bahru. Any student can take any food item (snacks) or drink that is available at the cabinet. Common items placed here are such as buns, biscuits, cereal, mineral water and drinks. The operational time of this corner is during office hour.

The initiative began in 2026 in which offered students with affordable food at the selected cafes inside the campus area.

An initiative in collaboration between the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs & Alumni) & Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development) supporting SDG 2 – Zero Hunger and SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being.

The Ziarah Kasih Programme for New Students is organised by the Facilities, Welfare and Student Discipline Section (SKKT), Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs and Alumni).

The Facilities, Welfare and Student Discipline Section (SKKT), Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs and Alumni) reaches out to identified B40 students by providing meals as part of its student welfare support initiative.

The Student Protection Fund Scheme provides financial assistance to students or their beneficiaries in cases involving accidents, death, and special circumstances such as natural disasters and fire.

The establishment of this Scheme was approved at the UTM Management Committee Meeting No. 19/2020 held on 17 August 2020. It replaced the Student Group Insurance Scheme and was established through the integration of the Student Death and Accident Welfare Fund.

Dapur Siswa Madani is an initiative by Yayasan Perkasa Siswa (YPS), Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) in collaboration with UTM and implemented across all public universities. The initiative provides kitchen facilities for students to prepare basic staple food, particularly rice.

The facility also provides storage amenities such as refrigerators, as well as basic cooking equipment including electric kettles, rice cookers, microwaves, and other essential kitchen appliances to support students’ daily needs.

At UTM, the facilities are currently being fully prepared for students at several strategic locations. At present, the initiative is implemented through the provision of ready-to-cook meals at scheduled times, which are announced to students, particularly at locations such as Sultan Ismail Mosque.

At UTM, assistance for Students with Disabilities (OKU) includes support related to essential facilities, such as OKU transportation and accommodation for students who genuinely require suitable residential facilities to facilitate their daily activities on campus.

Students may also receive financial support through applications to BKOKU (OKU Student Financial Assistance).

The initiative began in 2021 under Majlis Agama Islam Wilayah Persekutuan. Under the initiative, free food (150 pax) were given to B40 students at UTM Kuala Lumpur every Wednesday (4 times per month).

Majlis Agama Islam Wilayah Persekutuan (MAIWP) is sponsoring financial assistance under the Rahmah Ramadan Program – “Jom Balik Raya” for eligible B40 and Asnaf Muslim students as follows:

• Peninsular Malaysia (excluding Selangor, Kuala Lumpur & Negeri Sembilan)
• Round-trip bus ticket assistance: RM120 per person or RM4,800 for bus rental costs
• Sabah, Sarawak & Labuan
• Round-trip flight ticket assistance: RM1,000 per student
• Pocket allowance during the journey: RM100 per student

• Assistance in the form of daily necessities will be provided to students from the asnaf and B40 categories by MAIWP. The following items will be received by the students:
  
  1. Instant beverage powder
  2. Ready-to-eat meals
  3. Instant cup noodles
  4. Flavored cream bread
  5. Flavored biscuits
  6. Additional seasonings
  7. Complete Halagel bath set

  The distribution center for Gerobok Rezeki is located at the Food Bank Center.
