PROFILE UTM CARE
• This form is to be completed by new students who require assistance. All types of financial aid will be granted based on the eligibility criteria determined from the information submitted via the attached QR code.

UTM ZAKAT AID
• Zakat for Tuition Fee (Eligible to students who do not receive any sponsorship or loan & the maximum amount given is RM1000/sem.)
• Zakat for Living Expenses (RM300 – RM600)
• Zakat for Temporary Financial Assistance (Sponsorship money or late loan enters & total given maximum RM150/month.)
• Zakat for final year project (RM100).
• Zakat for undergoing industry training (RM100 – RM300).
• Zakat for bus fare (One-off assistance /semester & the maximum amount given is RM50 ‐ RM150 or subject to the consideration of Pusat Islam UTM.)
• Zakat for special cases such as thefts, accidents, health issues, Disability (OKU) and/or other cases deemed necessary (RM50 – RM200 or subject to the consideration of Pusat Islam UTM).
BECAUSE WE CARE CHANCELLOR’S FUND (BWCCF)
• This fund was initiated by HRH Tuanku Chancellor in 2016 to provide deserving UTM students with a financial aid to cover daily meal.
• BWCCF is in the food vouchers worth minimum RM200.00 per student/semester or will be credited into student’s account bank.
• Students can use the food vouchers to redeem meals at participating cafeterias on Johor Bahru and Kuala Lumpur campuses within the specified period stated on the voucher.
• Students can apply through google form UTMCare.
CHARITY CORNER BY PUSAT ISLAM, UTM JOHOR BAHRU
An initiative to provide free food for all students. It is located at Islamic Centre, UTM Johor Bahru. Any student can take any food item (snacks) or drink that is available at the cabinet. Common items placed here are such as buns, biscuits, cereal, mineral water and drinks. The operational time of this corner is during office hour.
NEW STUDENT ENGAGEMENT VISIT PROGRAM
The Facilities, Welfare and Discipline Section (SKKT), Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs and Alumni), reaches out to identified B40 students by providing meals.
STUDENTS PROTECTION SCHEME
The Student Protection Fund Scheme provides assistance to students/beneficiaries involved in accidents, deaths and special cases such as natural disasters and fires. The creation of this scheme was approved at a meeting of the UTM Management Committee. 19/2020 dated 17 August 2020 and is a replacement for the Student Group Insurance Scheme as well as a merger with the Student Death And Accident Charity Fund.
Bantuan Kebajikan
UTM STUDENT FOOD AID PROGRAM
Launched on 20 June 2025, this program provides ready-to-eat meals to students in quantities predetermined on the dates set by the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs and Alumni). These meals and beverages are distributed free of charge.
CARING CABINET
The Caring Cabinet is an initiative where dry food and beverages are provided to students in need.
The cabinet is provided in the foyer of Facilities, Welfare and Discipline Section Office, Deputy Vice Chancellor’s Department (Student Affairs and Alumni) at Student Union Building, UTM Johor Bahru (near CIMB bank).
Food and drinks are available for free.
UTM Kuala Lumpur
UTM ZAKAT AID
- Students need to apply directly to Pusat Islam UTMKL (approval and fund given based on evaluation by Pusat Islam UTMKL).
- Application are open to students at the beginning of each academic semester.

FOOD BANK SISWA
- An initiative to provide free variety of food for B40 students. It is located at Foodbank Centre , UTM Kuala Lumpur.
- Students may collect food at the Food Bank Centre, subject to the availability of contributions provided by the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN), and other NGOs from time to time.

FREE FOOD AID BY MAIWP
The initiative began in 2021 under Majlis Agama Islam Wilayah Persekutuan. Under the initiative, free food (150 pax) were given to B40 students at UTM Kuala Lumpur every Wednesday (4 times per month).
PROGRAM JELAJAH KASIH PEJABAT HAL EHWAL PELAJAR & ALUMNI
- Office of Student Affairs & Alumni, UTM Kuala Lumpur organize charity program for B40 students where they were given basic food necessity in order to reduce cost of living.
CARING CABINET
The UTMKL Student Representative Council (MPP) has introduced a Caring Cabinet at the faculty. This initiative is made possible through contributions from the faculty and external agencies, with the aim of supporting students in need.

BANTUAN JOM BALIK AID SPONSERED BY MAJLIS AGAMA ISLAM WILAYAH PERSEKUTUAN (MAIWP)
Majlis Agama Islam Wilayah Persekutuan (MAIWP) is sponsoring financial assistance under the Rahmah Ramadan Program – “Jom Balik Raya” for eligible B40 and Asnaf Muslim students as follows:
- Peninsular Malaysia (excluding Selangor, Kuala Lumpur & Negeri Sembilan)
- Round-trip bus ticket assistance: RM120 per person or RM4,800 for bus rental costs
- Sabah, Sarawak & Labuan
- Round-trip flight ticket assistance: RM1,000 per student
- Pocket allowance during the journey: RM100 per student

GEROBOK REZEKI SPONSORED BY MAJLIS AGAMA ISLAM WILAYAH PERSEKUTUAN (MAIWP)

Assistance in the form of daily necessities will be provided to students from the asnaf and B40 categories by MAIWP. The following items will be received by the students:
- Instant beverage powder
- Ready-to-eat meals
- Instant cup noodles
- Flavored cream bread
- Flavored biscuits
- Additional seasonings
- Complete Halagel bath set
The distribution center for Gerobok Rezeki is located at the Food Bank Center.
