MPP UTM 19/20

UTM Student Representative Council (SRC) is a Centrer association representing all University registered students. The SRC is formed through the election process each year to select candidates representing the general and faculty chairs of the University.

All registered students who are pursuing diploma and degree courses are eligible to vote and have the right to elect representatives to fill the general and faculty seats as their representatives in the SRC.

Our existence here is a place for all Universiti Teknologi Malaysia students to channel their aspirations and empowerment of students to be better, so that we can encourage the release of energy that can create a new work that can be useful.

As the MPP UTM is present not to be a hero of its own, but rather to build together a new line of communication that is balanced and opens up a new spirit of potential and ability of students at UTM and Malaysia. because we believe that we will always try to be the ‘Best Exemplary’ in ‘Energetic to contribute’ to a brighter future. And yes, and we will always be close in the works!

We aim to bridge the gap that has been created between students and MPP. We plan to connect with the students via various activities, engagement session and student services counter.

We want to hear the voices of students. We support students to speak up and give their opinions on the issues and problems going on in UTM.

Reduce Beureucracy and Open Transparency

We maximize to open transparency where students will be informed on the current issues, problems and solutions that we are working on.

Bring Empowerment and Maximize Power

Foster Spirit

To foster a spirit of corporate life among the students of the University.

Organize and Supervise

To organize and supervise, subject to the direction of the Vice Chancellor, student well-being facilities in the University including recreational facilities, spiritual and religious activities, and the supply of meals and refreshments.

Make Representations

To make representations to the Vice-Chancellor on all matters relating to, or connected with, the living and working conditions of the students of the University.

Be Represented

To be represented on any body which may, in accordance with Rules made by the Board for the purpose, be appointed to undertake student welfare activities in the University.

Undertake Activities

To undertake such other activities as may be determined by the Board from time to time.

Executive Council (College Affairs)

The Executive Council’s main task is to act as the forefront to the leadership line of MPP UTM. Not only that, the Executive Council also monitors the job scopes and tasks of each department in MPP so that it is well integrated with all the other departments of MPP.  The Executive Council also plays a big role in ensuring that all the tasks being fulfilled are based on the mission of MPP which is our utmost priority.

Serves as the frontline in maintaining the flow of communication and relations with various stakeholders who intersect with the UTM MPM, especially in the service of students, international relations and postgraduate studies.

Also helping by systematize every event related from MPP especially from protocol to make sure all run smooth, and be legal officer for screening contract, MOU and consultation with legal office of UTM.

Continued with corporate management by designing, managing and content publishing in terms of both visual and written media to information channels, namely social media and websites in order to build and maintain the visual branding of MPM UTM and be the first response to issues relating to press and publication.

Department Academic and Entreprenuship

Our department plays an important role in ensuring good delivery of information regarding academics to students and assist student development in terms of entrepreneurship. Our main focuses are segregated into two parts:

To ensure a fair and equal platform for students with regards to entrepreneurship, conducting periodic visits with entrepreneur clubs in UTM to keep up with their progress, gain insights on any problem which arise and to constantly keep in touch and lastly to always keep up to date with entrepreneurship programs in the campus.

To ensure public facilities are up to date and constantly maintained to ensure a conducive study environment, “reading station” are well maintained and up to date with suitable reading materials, and to supply information about academics such as pre-course registration, pro course schedule and any other important information.

Overseeing the development, management and promotion of sports, arts and culture in UTM. Our work is to increase the accessibility of sport and recreation in its contribution to the achievement of Student Development Plan’s goals which is nation-building, social cohesion and a healthy lifestyle.

Promoting safe, secure and sustainable communities, and healthy lifestyles, through the delivery of community based recreation programmes and mass participation in sports, arts and culture, and by encouraging community involvement in heritage management.
