LAB
laboratory diagnostic unit is a laboratory where tests are carried out on clinical specimens to obtained information about the health of a patient to aid in diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. Blood and urine tests were performed using the best analytical machines from Abbot and Urit. All machines are tested every month using external quality program which is Randox International Quality Assesment Scheme (RIQAS). All tests performed undergo an internal quality control process to ensure that the test results obtained are accurate and precise. Laboratory diagnostic unit also equipped with Laboratory Information System (LIS) where the results of blood and urine tests are sent directly to the doctors’ rooms.
Laboratory test provided as follows:- hematology test- Urinalysis test- biochemistry test- immunology test
**Tests which are not available in our centre will be sent to an external laboratory.
XRAY
X-ray (radiograph) is a non-invasive medical test that helps Medical Doctor to diagnose and treat medical conditions. Imaging with x-rays involves exposing a part of the body to a small dose of ionizing radiation to produce pictures of the inside of the body. X-rays are the oldest and most frequently used form of medical imaging.
University Health Centre operates a general X-ray model Canon MRAD-A32S/G7 to serve our students and staffs mainly. This is a form of Computed Radiography (CR). Currently we have 3 dedicated licensed radiographer to assist our beloved clients.

– limbs (upper and lower limbs)
– trunk and abdomen
– spine/ vertebrae
– pelvis
– head and neck
