Holistic solution for waste management is needed for Malaysia and many fast-growing countries worldwide. Organic/Food wastes are the most tedious waste to be handled. When ended in the landfill, the organic waste will generate biogas under anaerobic condition; once ignited, the dumpsite fire will take 1-2 week to put out.
Conversion of food waste to specific and higher value-added biofertilizer and other co-products could close the loop for waste-to-wealth and promote bio-economy in long-run.
