Petrodrive Tentative

Theme: “A Step Towards Petroleum World”
Brief Description:
It is a program organized for the first time by the SPE-UTM Student Chapter. This one day program will provide a lot of exciting activities to high school students such as talk from professional, group work, pop quizzes, and seminars. Secondary school students will be benefited from SPE-UTM Petrodrive 2011 and the objectives of this event will be achieved effectively.
Objective:
The objectives for this event are to introduce oil and gas industry to secondary school students and to let them have a better insight about oil and gas industry besides introduce Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and SPE-UTM Student Chapter which is a very active and well known society. Participants will gain a lot of experience throughout the event and brush up our generic skills at the same time can get the better insight about petroleum industry in Malaysia when we approach them with better idea and knowledge about SPE and oil and gas industry. In spite of this, during this event the secondary students will lead by undergraduate students who are in course of Petroleum Engineering; from this condition undergraduate students will build a bond with one another and decrease the gap among committee and mingle around with professionals, teachers, and secondary school students. In addition, most of us can gain and broaden our knowledge during the professional’s talk.
