SPE-UTM Run For Charity was organised on 12 March with the sincere cause of raising funds for donations to several charity organisations around Johor Bahru, inluding orphan and elderly homes. This was one of the several events planned for the overall Charity Month 2012 campaign.
Dean of the faculty Prof. Madya Radzuan Junin addressed the many SPE-UTM members who had arrived at the place of event (N24) The light-hearted activity was spontaneously organised by director Hafeez Zulkarnian and his committee members despite light-showers interrupting the morning run.
Nevertheless the event was pushed on spiritedly. A blood donation drive was held as promised, with much aid received from the medical team from the campus medical centre. The fee of RM10 was much justified considering the receiving of quirky pink T-shirts for everyone.
