The Intervarsity Nuclear Debate Competition 2024 (INDeC2024) is a debate competition organised by the Nuclear Engineering Students Society Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (NESS-UTM) and the Malaysian Nuclear Society (MNS), with support from Malaysian Nuclear Agency (Nuklear Malaysia) and, DEPIKIR UTM. In conjunction with the launch of the National Nuclear Technology Policy 2030 (DTNN2030) by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), this debate competition is held to provide a platform for students from universities in Malaysia to discuss current issues regarding nuclear technology.

This program also aims to increase awareness of the public regarding the importance of nuclear science and technology for civil uses, as well as making nuclear science and technology a strategic core in the development and progress in Malaysia in the future. We also want to harness the talents of our students for their debate skills specifically in the field of nuclear science and technology, in order to raise leaders capable of promoting the benefits of nuclear science and technology as well as science in general.
