PRESIDENT

NESS Council 2024/2025

WITH APPRECIATION AND ASPIRATION

Assalamu’alaikum and warm greetings to all members, partners, and visitors of the Nuclear Engineering Student Society (NESS).

It has been a great honour and privilege to serve as the President of NESS for the 2024/2025 session. This society is the backbone of our programme, bringing together passionate students who strive to grow in the fields of nuclear science, technology, safety, and energy. Throughout this term, I have witnessed tremendous growth, not only in our activities and achievements, but also in the confidence, teamwork, and leadership of our committees and members.

During this session, we strengthened our core mission to promote nuclear knowledge, foster technical skills, and build a supportive community for Nuclear Engineering students at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. From academic initiatives and industrial engagements to international exposure, each programme reflected our commitment to creating meaningful experiences that extend beyond the classroom.

This year, NESS was committed to elevating the student experience through impactful, inclusive, and meaningful initiatives. These included strengthening international engagement through programmes like GOP-NESS in Bangkok, Thailand and promoting nuclear awareness to the public through the Nuclear Youth Competition.

I am incredibly proud of the dedication shown by the committees and members who worked tirelessly to make our initiatives impactful and memorable. Your enthusiasm has been the true driving force behind NESS.

As I step down from my role, I hope the next generation of leaders will continue to bring NESS to greater heights, expanding collaborations, enriching academic culture, and strengthening our identity as a society that upholds excellence, professionalism, and unity.

To all members and committees, thank you for an unforgettable journey. Your dedication, teamwork, and unwavering support have been the foundation of every success we achieved together. I am truly grateful for every hour you contributed, every idea you shared, and every challenge we overcame as a united society.

May this society continue to inspire, educate, and empower future nuclear engineers who will one day contribute meaningfully to the nation and the global nuclear industry. I am confident that with your passion and commitment, NESS will continue to grow stronger, shine brighter, and leave a lasting impact for generations to come.

With gratitude,
