Dr. Muhammad Syahir Sarkawi is a Senior Lecturer in Nuclear Engineering at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). He began his academic career in 2020 at the Department of Energy Engineering, Faculty of Chemical and Energy Engineering, where he teaches and conducts research in nuclear engineering.

Since 2022, he has served as the advisor for the Nuclear Engineering Student Society (NESS), where he is passionate about empowering students to grow beyond academics. Dr. Syahir actively guides students in developing leadership, communication, and teamwork skills through various NESS activities, industry collaborations, and community outreach programs, nurturing confident and well-rounded future engineers.
