UTM Campus Sustainability is moving towards the renowned Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) hub under Sustainability University Network across nation and region. Engagement and Empowerments among stakeholders (internal and external partners) must undergo the spirits of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Gagasan SEJAHTERA and UTMDNA with the important tagline of #NoOneLeftBehind<\/p>\n<p>We will focus on our most substantial impacts, which are identified as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sustainable Practices (environmental, social, economic impacts) under Living Lab UTM<\/li>\n<li>Healthy Living Culture (UTMDNA)<\/li>\n<li>Low Carbon City of Masterplan and Roadmap<\/li>\n<li>ASEAN, EU and East Region Networks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column _builder_version=&#8221;4.20.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; type=&#8221;1_2&#8243; theme_builder_area=&#8221;post_content&#8221;][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.20.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; theme_builder_area=&#8221;post_content&#8221; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span>Occupational Safety, Health and Environment (OSHE) Office was established in June 2001 to comply with the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 (Act 514) which was enforced on February 25, 1994. The main objective of this act is to foster the commitment of employers and employees on occupational safety and health practices. The enforcement of this act is one of the government\u2019s efforts to curb the incidents of accidents and occupational diseases in the country rising over the last few years. OSHE Office is involved in the planning and implementation of inspection activities, training programs and occupational safety and health awareness to ensure the safety and health of UTM staff, students and visitors.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"et_pb_module et_pb_text et_pb_text_3  et_pb_text_align_justified et_pb_bg_layout_light\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\">\n<ul>\n<li>To prevent accidents and health problems of workers and the general public in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"et_pb_module et_pb_text et_pb_text_4  et_pb_text_align_justified et_pb_bg_layout_light\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\">\n<ul>\n<li>To plan a periodic safety inspection of facilities and to plan on auditing in terms of working systems and procedures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"et_pb_module et_pb_text et_pb_text_5  et_pb_text_align_justified et_pb_bg_layout_light\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\">\n<ul>\n<li>To report and investigate all incidents that cause injury and damage to property and to plan mitigating measures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"et_pb_module et_pb_text et_pb_text_6  et_pb_text_align_justified et_pb_bg_layout_light\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\">\n<ul>\n<li>To prepare and maintain a condusive working environment, safe working equipments and secure facilities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"et_pb_module et_pb_text et_pb_text_7  et_pb_text_align_justified et_pb_bg_layout_light\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\">\n<ul>\n<li>To provide latest OSH information to employees and to provide adequate occupational safety and health related trainings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"et_pb_module et_pb_text et_pb_text_8  et_pb_text_align_justified et_pb_bg_layout_light\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\">\n<ul>\n<li>To review and improve management of safety, health and environment from time to time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][\/et_pb_section]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>UTM\u00a0is committed to producing graduates with excellence in education and equipping graduates for leadership, professional and other roles in society. the main roles of academic research are to produce more research in developing a solution to climate change, financial and corrupt, starvation and other sustainability challenges.
