IEM also known as The Institution of Engineers Malaysia was formed in 1959. Membership of IEM is currently about 30,000 and the growth rate is about 10% per annum making it one of the largest professional organisation in the country. IEM is a qualifying body for professional engineers in Malaysia and represent all disciplines of the profession, and is thus able to take a broad view of the professional scene.<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

      • to raise the character and status and advance the interests of the profession of engineering and those engaged there in<\/li>
      • to promote honourable practice. and professional etiquette among members of The Instituition.<\/li>
      • to communicate to members information on all matters affecting the profession of engineering and to print, publish, issue and circulate such publications as may seem conducive to any of the objects of the Institution .<\/li>
