JOHOR BAHRU, 11th October 2019 – The Institution of Engineers Malaysia Universiti Teknologi Malaysia Student Section organised an industrial visit to EIK Engineering Sdn. Bhd. on 11th October 2019. This event was conducted to provide a platform for the engineering students in UTM to know and understand more about the company that is potential to be their future working place and the working opportunities provided by the company. This event is the first industrial visit conducted for the year 2019/2020. 38 undergraduate students mainly from School of Mechanical Engineering where some of the participants are international students had participated in this industrial visit. We departed at 7:30a.m when all participants had arrived and spent half of our day there.
It was a fruitful experience to the participants whereby everyone had been given a chance to visit the production site of EIK Engineering Sdn. Bhd. while being introduced by the on-site engineers, the participants have gained more exposure towards the real working life in the short future. The HR session held by the representative from EIK Engineering definitely did helped most of the participants especially those in their 3rd year as they will be having their internship on June 2019. Besides, representative from EIK Engineering also welcomed any UTM students to emailed resume to them for future working purposes. This industrial visit is indeed eye-opening and we are looking forward for more participants from different schools to join us on the next industrial visit.
