On the second day of IEM National Summit (NATSUM , the first activity was the Interbranch meeting between IEM student section.This activity held at auditorium C in komtar.In this activity, students were able to interact with 10 different student sections from all around Malaysia.At the same time they also point out some of the problems they encountered with the IEM HQ and University .
The next event, NATSUM opening ceremony which was held in komtar auditorium A.The chairman of IEM Penang,IR Yau Ann Nian gave an opening speech about NATSUM 2019 and organising chairman,Mr Loh Kwan Jou deliver his speech.Another main activity which was branch and student section report presentation. All the young engineers section and student section have presented their activities throughout their session for 2018/2019.Oscar presented the annual activities of IEM UTM Student Section and also explained the objectives and impact of every activity to the participants.
At 4pm there were a technical visit to the MPBB city surveillance centre.The objective of this visit is for the participants to gain some knowledge about security in a city.There were almost 700 security camera around penang.This is installed at popular roads where accidents occur.The surveillance cameras have useful features such as zooming in,facial recognition and turning at multiple angles.The surveillance systems used to trace accidents, illegal dumping and those who break the rules and regulations in roads.The person incharge from MPBB had guided and explained the theory and mechanisms behind the CCTV that implemented in penang.
