3 supreme members from IEM UTM Student Section, which consist of Oscar, Ching Yin and Gajendra attended the National Summit 2019 (NATSUM) in Penang from 4th to 7th July 2019, organised by Young Engineer Section (Penang Branch).
NATSUM aims to gather the graduate members of regional Young Engineers Section (YES) branches and the student members of Students Chapters from all over Malaysia. Notably, the national level event also provides an ideal platform for the graduates and students to share and exchange ideas and knowledge, and is a good way to promote closer relations among members of the branches and student chapters to further promote science, in particular; engineering.
On the first day of NATSUM 2019, the participants had a Technical Visit to ViTrox Corporation Berhad. The staffs from ViTrox guided the participants around their brand new building-ViTrox campus 2.0 located in industrial park, Batu Kawan. They explained job scope of each department such R&D, manufacturing, sales and maintenance. After the visit, they gave a talk about background and setting up of the company. The Human Resources manager of ViTrox shared the information about internship and permanent job application to the participants. They do welcome university students and fresh graduates to join them.
Later, they had industrial visit and team building session at Ecoworld Horizon. The person in charge from Ecoworld introduced the company and their current projects to the participants. During the team building session, every participant had a good opportunity to networking with each other from all branches and had dinner at Design Village.
