“In alignment with our established vision and mission, the Psychology & Counselling Service Centre aspires to support and empower as many members of the UTM community as possible in attaining psychological well-being.”

Our Journey of Care and Commitment
The Psychology & Counselling Service Centre has grown through the years to better support the emotional well-being of the UTM community.
It began in 1992 as the Unit Perkhidmatan Sokongan Pelajar (UPSP), established to provide basic student support services. As the demand for more structured guidance grew, the unit was upgraded on 21st January 2004 and became known as the Pusat Kaunseling & Kerjaya (PKK) — combining both counselling and career services.
In 2009, the career component was separated to form a dedicated Career Division Unit (CDU). This allowed the original centre to focus more on providing emotional and psychological support, continuing under the name Pusat Kaunseling.
Most recently, in 2023, the centre was renamed as the Psychology & Counselling Service Centre to reflect a more inclusive and contemporary identity.
MISSION & VISION
To become a centre of excellence in innovative psychological and counselling services, committed to enhancing holistic human well-being
